Language defines culture.  The creation and use of words reflect the values, priorities, and direction that underlies its nature.

The sculpture symbolizes an inner transformational journey brought about through ritual fasting and prayer, in conjunction with structured ceremony.

This practice, if conducted properly brings balance to the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies.  To be balanced in this way was considered the proper way to live.

The name for this balance is Duyuktv (Doo-yook-tuh). This sculpture is made out of Bronze and Wood - the size of this sculpture is 27" x 16" x 16".
